At Amplify GR, we believe neighborhoods should have the resources and amenities worthy of the people who live there.
Thanks to all the people and partners who worked to strengthen and support Southeast Grand Rapids in 2023! Check out the 2023 Impact Report, which highlights a few of the ways we are preserving and widening pathways to opportunity together in the Boston Square and Madison Square neighborhoods of Grand Rapids.
In 2023, together we uplifted community priorities and assets in economic opportunity, mixed-income housing, birth-to-career education, and community wellness. Here are a few ways we created impact together:
- 14 entrepreneurs are scaling their businesses at Kzoo Station, a commercial kitchen incubator AGR developed in Boston Square in partnership with SpringGR. Fifty-seven percent are from the neighborhood and 79 percent are BIPOC-owned.
- 25 homeowners in Boston Square and Madison Square increased the value and safety of their homes through AGR’s partnership with Home Repair Services. Eighty percent have owned their homes for more than 20 years, contributing to stability and legacy of the neighborhoods.
- More than 1,000 neighbors strengthened connections and friendships through participating in community events hosted and supported by AGR.
We look forward to more great work together this year – when we’ll open HUB 07 (the neighborhood’s living room and front porch) and break ground on our first phases of mixed-income, mixed-use housing and entrepreneurial spaces.
